For Women, By Women
What is Hannah’s house?
Hannah’s House provides compassionate addiction treatment designed exclusively for women, including those with co-occurring disorders and trauma. Our unique gender-separate program maintains an entirely female staff of addiction professionals who work tirelessly to help each patient identify their barriers to recovery and develop coping strategies for total health and wellbeing. Through ongoing collaboration, the multidisciplinary team at Hannah’s House builds comprehensive treatment plans that take each woman’s strengths, challenges, and personal history into account. Every day, our medical and clinical professionals share their perspectives and discuss individual solutions for long-term recovery. Through an integrated approach, we find proven clinical interventions that help each woman recover her authentic self.

The Hannah’s House Difference (Gender-Separate Recovery for Women)
Women from all walks of life face gender-based pressures, stresses, and worries, which lead to distinctly female ways of interpreting and reacting to the world around us. We are more likely to be victims of abuse or assault, and are more likely to be diagnosed with anxiety or depression. Statistics like these inform the way we provide addiction treatment at Hannah’s House because many of these concerns — body image issues, financial inequality, burnout, trauma, and mental health disorders — are all risk factors that can exacerbate substance use.
We provide care that looks at every dimension of wellbeing, taking into account every woman’s past and the reasons that she has arrived at our doorstep. Our gender-separate program exclusively for women is maintained by a talented female team who understands how the uniquely female perspective influences the recovery process. We emphasize support, acceptance, safety, and understanding, allowing each woman we treat to leave behind the problems that complicate their substance use and look toward an abundant, sober future.

A Refuge for Women with Trauma
Women are much more likely to have been the victims of trauma, including sexual and physical abuse. Our team carefully crafts evidence-based, trauma-informed treatment plans for every woman seeking refuge and recovery at Hannah’s. We offer neurological interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), as well as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy for trauma. Everyone on our entire campus—from our Clinical Director to our housekeeping staff—is trained on how to create a trauma-informed environment.
